How long to takes to draw

Talent can also be learned! Can you join a drawing workshop when you don't feel talented? My answer is yes! We don't need talent or performance to start learning to draw, for the simple reason that it can be learned. It is the same in all fields. There are basic techniques that will allow you to learn the drawing step by step. So don't worry, you only need a little time, in a few months, you will have acquired the main academic techniques to be able to do everything you want to draw. Here is the common question that beginners ask me: "How long does it take me to learn to draw correctly? ” My answer is: It all depends on the student's tempo. Moreover, the one who exercises daily advances faster than the one who relies only on classes and draws only once a week. Likewise a professional artist; if he stops drawing for a while, his hand will lose flexibility and he will need to make some sketches to be able to do a proper drawing. However, t...

How to develop your hidden talents

Learning to paint in a confirmed painter's studio is a way to reveal your hidden talents. You may have always dreamed of learning to paint, but when you tried it alone, you got discouraged, it's normal! Whether in drawing, painting or sculpting, you have to learn some techniques. Yes, nothing is innate, everything can be learned! Sometimes we realize our hidden talents late. I have gathered a lot of testimonies from my students who said:  "I have always wanted to go to the Art School , but my parents didn't encourage me to do so". Unfortunately, when our destiny is in Others' Hands, we are subjected to their choice . Even if I perfectly understand the parent's benevolence , who think that art, (especially in Algeria), isn't a career of the future.  On the one side, they are not wrong, how many times have I been asked the question: "What do you do for a living? ». I say: "visual artist". And they a...

An exciting job for an exciting life. How to change your life

" You just have to find that thing that's special about you that distinguishes you from all the others, and through true talent, hard work, and passion, anything can happen ". Dr. Dre I taught for ten years in public schools, and private schools in high schools as an art teacher. Every morning, I woke up with the idea of leaving everything behind and finding another profession that would make me want to go to work with a smile.  I worked twenty-two hours a week with forty students per class, among them two or three pearls who loved my topic. The rest of the class came without equipment, just to pass the time.  The constraints were not limited to that; I also add that at the end of the trimester, I was forced to undergo the filling of all the school reports and to attend all the school councils.  One day without even thinking, I put an end to this masquerade by abandoning my position with no regrets... I to...

The Art of Calligraphy: Faiza Bayou’s Eternity Series

The Art of Calligraphy: Faiza Bayou’s Eternity Series : The elegantly rich art of calligraphy has its place in the Arabic and/ Islamic culture. As stated by historians, the art of calligraphy, including its trade, was born in the was born in the first Islamic century. Thus, the “ concept of calligraphic correctness —that is, legibility and repeatability—began to emerge among the scribes (katibs). This can be observed in probable first century Koranic texts and the papyrus texts of correspondence between early Muslims.” According to historical accounts, as religious, social, and political events shaped the development of the art, during the years of Abbasid Caliphate, the art of Calligraphy took center stage in Baghdad –a “great fermenting yeast-bowl of Islamic calligraphy”. The city of Baghdad “saw the consolidation of the art of calligraphy as a fine art (in the classical sense) and the rise of the great founding teachers and their followers.” During antiquity, generally s...

ART WORK IN PROGRESS

I haven't finished my collection the quest for the absolute. I continue and I show you the work of his last days. I prepare canvas with mortar. After the mortar has dried out, I carve in my images with steel brushes, scrapers and metal pencils. This is how I create a relief painting. When I add different colours to the mortar, this artwork can be completed. But most of the times this relief is the foundation for a painting. The painting starts when the relief is completely dried out. This can take up to a week. I apply more than one layer, but this is not always necessary. This depends on the specific kind of mortar I use. For painting acrylic paint My daily activities consist of painting on canvas and paper. I do this not to create paintings, but purely to train and improve my skills for my 'Sculpted Canvas' Art..
